Chocolate Chip Pecan Toffee Bit Cookies

Deep Fryday... yes. My friends and I have been talking about having a Deep Fryday since April, and this past Friday was finally Fryday. You mean, you don't know what Deep Fryday is??
For all of you who don't know what it is, it's basically a dinner party where everything you eat is deep fried and you listen to deep house music while cooking, all while wearing deep V-neck t-shirts. I know, it's glorious... and gross. We were all really excited for this.

Loaded Tuna Salad

Dear Blog,

I am so sorry I have neglected you for so long.

You see, I got married August 6th. I had family here for a week and then friends here the following week. It's not that I don't love you, it's just that I have been living in the clouds for the past 14 days. Please forgive me.

Danielle

The wedding was amazing. Everyone had the time of their lives and we danced to Greek music in the rain. I couldn't ask for anything more.

Since it was so crazy around here, I didn't have much time to cook. Best thing to do when you know there's no time to prepare food, make some tuna salad and leave it in the fridge for when you need a quick snack and don't want to destroy your diet by having your husband drive you to McDonald's... oops.

Cheddar and Portuguese Sausage Quick Biscuits

Monday was a Civic Holiday in parts of Canada. It exists solely because there are no days off in August. This way... Long weekend! Love this place. My boyfriend and I decided to stop by our friend's for a little (tops an hour) and then go home, clean our condo, cook/photograph a post, and relax.

We were there for seven hours. Sucked in. We walked right into "Monday Funday", which consisted of a rooftop, a hose, Baggo, a stereo with surround sound, Caesars (above), beer, friends and lots of food. There was no escape.

I was convinced to stay after our good friend Ken said he would help me with an entry for the blog which would knock off one thing on my "to do" list for that day. He had the cheese, the sausage, the milk, flour, and salt. Thanks to our friend Lori, we also had baking powder. Cheddar and sausage biscuits were going to happen.
